Our Story
In 1999, avid scrapbooker and papercrafting artist Jill Davis founded Scrapbook.com - a website dedicated to sharing and teaching the timeless art of memory keeping.
When Jill began this endeavor, she held a dream close to her heart. Her hope was to not only teach and inspire crafters through Scrapbook.com, but to also give back to her community in a larger way. Being a crafter herself, Jill knew firsthand the joy that a handmade gift could bring. So, with a heart full of compassion and a generous nature, Jill kept the idea that Scrapbook.com would one day find a way to give back to those in need.

In 2019, we took the first steps toward making Creative Kindness a reality, through our fledgling program Cards for Kindness®. With enthusiasm and excitement, we put out a call for handmade cards from our community and Scrapbook.com customers. We partnered with Arizona-local organizations and distributed these beautiful cards to them, at no cost. These initial days were exhilarating, and we quickly learned how important these distributions were to the organizations and the people in need that they support.
In the spring of 2020, we expanded Cards for Kindness, from a local initiative to a global one, now accepting handmade cards from around the world. We grew our list of partners to include organizations from all over the United States. This was wildly successful. The generosity of volunteer card makers all over the world was inspiring, and the Cards for Kindness initiative continued to grow.
Early in 2021, with gratitude and eagerness to continue spreading joy, we developed Creative Kindness. Creative Kindness encompasses a variety of charitable initiatives, programs, and projects all centered around our mission: “To help people find happiness and healing through the creation and donation of handmade gifts.”
We are continuing to add to and expand Creative Kindness® in new, exciting ways.
